Catch 22- a new Spot in The Beach JBR

Today was craving some sushi bits and looking for a nice place to spend the sunset with my husband and have a lovely meal, but he did not feel like sushi today so we were looking for a restaurant with more variety and just in front of the Beach, JBR we found this new spot called Catch 22, a funky place where all kind of people is welcome, families, friends and groups, with international cousine we manage to found what for the day we were looking for.

Here we go... a wide menu from different types,  our starter choice went for a lovely seafood soup that a bit too small for the price, was tasty and perfect for the chilly weather this afternoon, a rich and creamy soup with slow cooked fish, mussles, and lobster in a tomato based soup, was perfect just wish it was slightly bigger portion as it is a 40 dhs lovely sample soup, but I did enjoy it.

To spice thungs up, we added some Spicy Edamame, do not worry the melted spicy cheese sauce, and the chili alioli comes on the side, so you can enjoy and share your edamame even if not everyone can tolerate spicy food.










Very excited about my chose of sushi I decided for some sushi rolls: Chilli Shrimp and Unagi Shrimp Tempura. Despite is not the usual sushi we are used to, was fresh, tasty and perfect for my cravings.
a six pieces set for each option you choose, the prices range between 24 and 39 dhs. So I got wxactly what I was looking for, and so did my husband.

His choice the signature  Catch 22 steak  salad, big portion and reasonable for the 58 dhs price, prime grade rib eye steak, with fried creamy goat cheese balls, pecans, pomegranate ad chimichurry dressing, perfect portion and a healthy option to recover after a long day at work, and go for a healthy option.
Our total bill did not exceeded the 250 dhs but we did enjoy it and had a range of different tastes, healthy and with a breathtaking view by the beach, just relaxing atmosphere and we are looking forward to come back soon and tried new dishes. Service was not great, but the menu made that up.

We are back!

Hello Dubai peeps!

After a long break I am so glad to be back to share our experience wih you of  some of the best places we have visited in the UAE  to eat, chill and share a drink with your friends, the idea is that you visit places that won't dissapoint and if our experience was not that great, then we would love to hear about yours and share it for better expectations. we just love what we do, and sharing that experience with you give us a bit more of happiness. all this time away we were travelling around and now that we are settled in a beautiful and refreshing are in Dubai like it is Dubai Marina, I can say that now we are oficially back and hope to get to hear from you.

Top Cocktail for the summer in Asia de Cuba (Abu Dhabi)

Hola a todos! After Ramadan, and the intese summer in the UAE, step by step we are getting back on track, as long as the weather allows us to do so. 

Today I want to invite you all to try my favorite cocktail of all times in Asia de cuba, Abu Dhabi and it is call Patong Palmer. A Beautiful mix of smoked tequila, aperol, and coconut, you just can not help it, so nice and refreshing, only one  inconvenience and it is the amount of ice in this cocktail that makes it feel like a very ephemeral pleasure. I would love to be able to enjoy a drink for longer than 5  mins.  But in any case,  it is totally worth to give it a try. 

Patong Palmer is number one in my list, followed by a lovely a bit more stronger Ditch street, a refreshing mix of rum, smoked tequila, jalapeno honey, lime etc.

Well for latin blood like I have, that is perfect medication.

And Dubai and Abu Dhai are crowded with many bar/lounge and restaurants but until today nothing compares to Asia de Cuba cocktails, and personally is my favourtite spot in the UAE, I wish they have one in Dubai opening soon, but who knows...maybe one day.

In few more months, the terrace will be open again in front of the beach, listening to some latin rythms, having a great cocktail and enjoying the best nights in Abu Dhabi corniche. 

Wihshing they open dance floor in the terrace, I mean you can not be in front of the beach, having the best cocktails of town, beautiful bar food, with latin music and there is no place where to go with the beats. And you can tell everyone over there is dying to dance, so we all do in our seats :)

And to keep company your cocktail, I will suggest you try to goat cheese coquetes, or scallops ceviche.

Thursdays tends to be over crowded in normal time of the year, and waiting for a cocktail can take a bit longer than usual, but once again if you havent been it is totally worth it to go and share your experience  with tastes of UAE.

Nurai Island, my Favourite Brunch in the UAE

Hola a todos! We all have heard about "brunches" which are very popular in Dubai, mostly on Fridays you can find really good places, and for certain amount you can eat and drink as much as you can, mostly between 12pm until about 4pm. But with so many options make it a bit difficult to decide where to go for a change.

So today I want to share with you about this amazing little hidden paradise in Zaya Nurai Island, the food is not much in quantity but of great quality and tasty.  For only 475 dhs you can have a fest, a really good grilled,  king prawns were our favorites,  you can have chicken, salads, beef,  seafood, amazing desserts like the "macaroons",  I love them!,  and a wide variety of drinks, spirits, wines  and cocktails, but if you are a champagne fan for an extra amount you can get the champagne package, whatever your choice is, all products in here are of great quality.

This was by far the best place we had brunch so far in the  UAE, we had a blast and an unforgettable time in Nurai Island. It is without a doubt a lovely space to share with friends and family or only a romantic time with your other half, enjoy the beautiful  beach, or the really nice infinite pool followed by a refreshing drink.

The best part of it is that is not crowded or crazy busy at all, is in a way a private gateway. And this is the reason I believe why the service it is really up to standards, I am specialized in Customer Service and trust me, this people know how to make you feel good; I am  trying to remember the name of the staff in the beach restaurant, , a very smiley and lovely Chinese waiter, his service was great, and outstanding, but in general very friendly guys.

How to get there?  Only 15 minutes boat ride from Saadiya Island in Abu dhabi  included in the fare as well.

I would say it was the "F" deal: Fantastic Food, Fantastic resort, Feeling like every Friday is an especial occasion.
