Top Cocktail for the summer in Asia de Cuba (Abu Dhabi)
Hola a todos! After Ramadan, and the intese summer in the UAE, step by step we are getting back on track, as long as the weather allows us to do so.
Today I want to invite you all to try my favorite cocktail of all times in Asia de cuba, Abu Dhabi and it is call Patong Palmer. A Beautiful mix of smoked tequila, aperol, and coconut, you just can not help it, so nice and refreshing, only one inconvenience and it is the amount of ice in this cocktail that makes it feel like a very ephemeral pleasure. I would love to be able to enjoy a drink for longer than 5 mins. But in any case, it is totally worth to give it a try.
Patong Palmer is number one in my list, followed by a lovely a bit more stronger Ditch street, a refreshing mix of rum, smoked tequila, jalapeno honey, lime etc.
Well for latin blood like I have, that is perfect medication.
And Dubai and Abu Dhai are crowded with many bar/lounge and restaurants but until today nothing compares to Asia de Cuba cocktails, and personally is my favourtite spot in the UAE, I wish they have one in Dubai opening soon, but who knows...maybe one day.
In few more months, the terrace will be open again in front of the beach, listening to some latin rythms, having a great cocktail and enjoying the best nights in Abu Dhabi corniche.
Wihshing they open dance floor in the terrace, I mean you can not be in front of the beach, having the best cocktails of town, beautiful bar food, with latin music and there is no place where to go with the beats. And you can tell everyone over there is dying to dance, so we all do in our seats :)
And to keep company your cocktail, I will suggest you try to goat cheese coquetes, or scallops ceviche.
Thursdays tends to be over crowded in normal time of the year, and waiting for a cocktail can take a bit longer than usual, but once again if you havent been it is totally worth it to go and share your experience with tastes of UAE.
We would love to hear from you.
Feliz dia!

A lovely surpise, Banyan Tree-AL Wadi in RAK
Hola a todos! not long ago was our anniversary and so my partner surprised me by taking me to this amazing resort, in the middle of the desert, with many activities, and the villas are really impressive, private pool and the bathroom I loved it, the size of the pool itself ;) no kidding having a hot bath in a full size bath, haven't seen many of those before and I have stayed in many hotels around the world.
Make your own cocktails and enjoy them by your private pool, and the sound system in the villas was amazing, our view was very particular gazelles, oryx and camels around the resort, and around the pool, at this time of the year the heat is getting unbearable, but the villa itself gives you the feeling not to leave it.
During the afternoon you can do some activities like archery, private falconry session, sunrise and sunset yoga, horse riding or a rainforest treatment in the spa.

Come back to your villa take a comforting shower and hit the bars and restaurants, we went to Thai restaurant Safana...and the food was impressive! really tasty, when you arrive they bring you rice and safron crackers with 3 dips, chicken red sauce, coconut prawn sauce and spicy eggplant, all of them were just scrumptious!!!!
We ordered green Thai curry and red prawns curry which comes together with 3 different types of rice.
The food, the sundown in the dessert and a glass of wine next to your beloved one, made of this experience for both of us simply unforgettable! Service was good, but Rishi was actually a very genuine waiter that treated us nicely sincerely.
To complete the evening head to the Moon Bar for a drink, where you can enjoy the view of the stars while sitting in the sofas, for shisha lovers you can have it there as well.Breakfast is included in your rate per night, and in that one I might say I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the food as some cheese and salami were getting off, as they have been left out uncovered for a while, not much variety in the buffet, and I am totally a breakfast person, and in every hotel I go I must try breakfast were mostly is very good regardless the rate of the hotel, this part was just not satisfactory for me, considering it is a 5* resort, then the food that in inclusive should keep up with the same quality.
The average night will come out in about 3000+ AED, food and drinks, and it is definitely worth it...
I you want to keep the spark alive with your other half, then surprise them with this nice treat!
It is one of those experiences that you will never forget.
We want to hear from you ...

A healthy option for this summer, The Acai Spot
Hola a todos! Summer is here and in Dubai...let's be honest isn't very pleasant and getting refreshments is not always as healthy nas we wish but well, anything is worth when we are melting under the sun. Few weeks ago my flatmate from Brazil invited me to try Acai, and
despite I am from Colombia I've never heard of it before or tried it in
any way, she took me to this nice place called The Acai Spot in Deira, with a lovely and cosy atmosphere.
Well, is not only very refreshing but simply delicious, you can choose many options from the menu, I tried the Traditional and I loved it!, acai, banana, granola, blueberries, and you can always add some chia or flax seeds, kiwi, strawberries, etc, to add some extra healthy value. Despite it looks quiet small in size, it is actually really feeling as well.
I liked it very much, so this time I invited my partner to give it a try, in this opportunity I tried the Acai with Greek Yogurt, and so while we are tasting and chatting, a really nice guy approached us to engage conversation and introducing us to Acai, this nice friendly guy was Lucas one of the owners, the place itself and being welcomed by the staff makes you feel like you are just visiting your friend's place. Acai is used to treat diseases like osteoarthritis, high cholesterol, erectile dysfunction, weight loss, as its detoxification effects contributes for improving general health.
We're looking forward to find more latin american places, restaurants, or cultural spots, for the Middle East gets to know that beautiful part of the world. We want to hear from you and your experience in the UAE.
